Caravan of Love Amsterdam kicks off on Saturday Sep 12 '26 in Amsterdam
On Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM, the Caravan of Love gathered for the first time at the Gate of the Flevopark in Amsterdam. Recently burntdown Parknest was the first stop! It was a special day with beautiful weather to boot.
The program began with a few songs by Flevopark Community Band Velvety Enough. This was followed by a few short speeches, and warm dialogue with volunteers began. Velvety Enough continued to play a full set. Camel Cookies were shared and the The Caravan of Love banner received a Parknest logo. As the Caravan of Love left for the next expedition, the Parknest jam continued til late in the evening.

Caravan of Love Movement Worldwide appoints First Ambassador
Newly appointed Ambassador Thomas (T.J.) Maguire is Senior Urban Designer at Evergreen, Canada. He hails from Halifax, Nova Scotia. He travels around the globe, for instance through UN Habitat Future of Cities, Placemaking Canada and more. T.J. strongly believes in the power of communities. Recently, en route from an international Placemaking Europe congres in Poland, back to Canada he became a member of the Caravan of Love Movement in Amsterdam. We are very happy he did so.
